Why Americans Pay More For Weed Than Canadians
Cannabis is 30% cheaper in Canada than in the parts of the U.S. where it is legal, according to a report released this week from data analysis firm Priceonomics. In the U.S., an eighth of an ounce of marijuana costs $40 on average, versus just $27.90 in Canada.

Banks Could Totally Defy the Government and Accept Marijuana Money
History has told us that banks don’t really care about rules, morals, or doing the right thing. They should start taking marijuana accounts, because it would mean a lot of cash money. The excuse that the federal government will automatically punish them in some way for doing so is demonstrably, factually bogus. Imagine if Bank of America started taking cannabis accounts, with encouragement from Goldman Sachs. Now imagine Washington shutting them down. It just doesn’t happen in the real world.

Strange Tactics Emerge in Utah’s Medical Marijuana Legalization Fight
Utah cannabis advocates charge that door-to-door canvassers are engaging in a disinformation campaign to convince voters to sign paperwork authorizing the removal of their signatures from the Utah Medical Cannabis Act, a proposed November 2018 ballot initiative that would legalize a medical marijuana economy in the conservative state to hopes of keeping the measure from qualifying. Tensions continue to mount in Utah’s cannabis politics clash.

Why Is YouTube Cracking Down on Cannabis Videos?
One theory is that YouTube has updated their algorithm to prevent “unsuitable” content from getting ads delivered against their content. We are talking about channels from white nationalists, neo-Nazis, outlandish conspiracy theories. Apparently, cannabis unwittingly got caught in the crosshairs of the sanitization of YouTube contents.

When Cancer Patients Ask About Weed, Many Doctors Say Go For It
A new survey of 237 oncologists from around the country finds that while roughly 80 percent talk with their patients about marijuana, fewer than 30 percent feel they have sufficient knowledge to advise them about its medicinal use. Despite their shaky knowledge of the drug, nearly half of all oncologists do recommend medical cannabis to their patients.
