UConn Researchers Found that Chili Pepper and Marijuana Calm the Gut
The claim seems counterintuitive. As it turns out, the connection of chili pepper and marijuana is anandamide, a chemical compound similar to cannabinoid, and it helps to reduce inflammation, and calm down the gastrointestinal tract. More important scientifically, the interaction of anandamide, and its receptors suggests that our immune system and brain actually talk to each other. In this instance, the common language is anandamide.
